Peter H. Yim, Esq.
Peter H. Yim is the Managing Member and Chief Legal Counsel for the Chadbourne Capital Group of companies. Peter has an extensive legal knowledge of corporate and tax law acquired through decades of legal practice. Peter has served as lead counsel in the acquisition and disposition of corporations valued up to one hundred million dollars and has completed highly profitable retail real estate property acquisitions through Chadbourne Capital Group I, LLC , Chadbourne Capital Group II, LLC, and Chadbourne Capital Group III, LLC. Peter holds a B.A. in mathematics from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Rutgers University. He is a member of the Texas State Bar and the Illinois State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the US Tax Court.
Peter has over 17 years of experience in advising and forming a number of large investment funds (both hedge funds and private equity funds) on entity formation issues, management of due diligence review efforts, overseeing the US/international tax structure issues and managing their US tax compliance requirements. He has served large multinational clients from the outset of his career, working on corporate mergers & acquisition contracts, tax issues and financing issues (tax free merger transactions, venture capital funding issues, and corporate and partnership income tax returns) in addition to serving private equity and hedge fund clients (both US and foreign) with their US tax controversy and dispute resolution issues.
Peter worked with the Mergers and Acquisition tax group with Arthur Andersen and the Financial Services (Hedge/Equity Fund) tax group with PricewaterhouseCoopers in addition to working with a large international law firm working in the area of securities law, commercial litigation law, real estate law and tax law.
His clients have included: Permira Equity Fund, Eurocastle Germany, Astrea Switzerland Funds, CVC Capital Partners, ExxonMobil, Shell Oil Products U.S., Shell Technologies Ventures Inc., Shell Oil Real Estate, Motiva Enterprises LLC, Equilon Enterprises LLC, Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc., Verizon, Continental Airlines, Interdigital Communication Corp., Procter & Gamble, Co. and Miller Brewing.
Nat H. Davis, III, CCIM
Nat H. Davis, III, manages all development activities. Nat has over twenty years of real estate marketing and development experience on both the client side and personal account. He has managed the development of 15 subdivisions and the building of roads, water plants, sewer plant and utility lines and taps. Nat also built Katzs Deli, a $1.5 million building located in Houstons inner loop, and supervised numerous interior finish build-outs in leased shopping centers. Nat developed Harrisburg Plaza, a $6 million shopping center in south Houston, The Shops at Timberwilde, a $8.45 million shopping center near the Woodlands TX, and also developed AutoZone store locations across several states.
Prior to teaming with Chadbourne Capital, Nat was a partner in the full-service commercial real estate firm, Dechiro, Cox, Davis & Brock L.L.C. where he offered acquisition, disposition, development and construction services for regional and national companies. Nat has personally worked with H. E. Butt Grocery Company, H-E-B Employee Pension Fund, Jack in the Box, AutoZone, Shoneys, Southwestern Bell, Burger King, Grandys, Wendys, Franchise Finance Corporation of America, Applebees International, Hartz Chicken, Horizon Outlet Malls, and WR Grace Company. Nats commercial real estate career includes tenure as an associate with Henry S. Miller/Grubb & Ellis-Houston, offering acquisition, disposition, and financial consulting services within the retail real estate industry. Nat was primarily responsible for overseeing work-outs with retail lease tenants and shopping center loans for individual ownership, banks, savings & loan, and FDIC/RTC. Over a three-year period, Nat disposed of the entire portfolio of 68 properties held within the restaurant division of WR Grace Company throughout Texas.
Nat graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Nat has been a registered Texas Real Estate Broker since 1983, is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). In 2012, Nat earned the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. A CCIM is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry.
